01 / SELECT THE CONFIGURATION
Fit the equipment to the requirement.
01Straight runs and linked sections
Interlocking barrier sections can form a continuous run or a series of queue lanes. Mark each run separately, including the space between lanes and any sections that must be moved during the event. The selected model determines the connection and usable length.
02Feet, corners and openings
Describe whether barriers sit on pavement, grass or another surface. Ask about the available foot configuration and its position relative to the walking route. Record pedestrian and vehicle openings separately rather than treating every opening as a missing section.
03Separate stage-front requirements
An audience boundary and a front-of-stage installation have different equipment requirements. Identify any stage-front area in your inquiry so it can be reviewed as a specialist stage-barrier requirement.
02 / PLAN THE QUANTITY
Measure the route people will follow.
Add the length of each run in feet or metres, then divide by the selected equipment’s usable section length and round up. Record the calculated minimum and any requested spare sections separately. Corners, gates and the final layout can change the total.
CALCULATE BARRIERS↗Use the actual equipment’s usable length. Keep assumptions and requested spare quantities explicit.
03 / DELIVERY & RENTAL PERIOD
Delivery around the event schedule
Include the unloading point, distance from the truck to the barrier locations, and the time the site opens to the public. Request delivery only or delivery with setup, plus removal and pickup if needed. Those services and timings are confirmed in the quote.
A single event or a longer installation
Specify delivery and pickup dates, including setup and breakdown time. For recurring events, identify whether barriers remain on site between dates or need separate collections. Rental duration and any changes are agreed as part of the project scope.

- Barrier category, selected configuration, gates, screening and the number of sections.
- Rental period
- Delivery through pickup, including setup days, event days and any agreed extensions.
- Delivery and collection
- Project location, distance, number of stops, truck access and handling requirements.
- Installation and site conditions
- Placement, removal, relocations, surface conditions and the distance from unloading to the layout.

Equipment questions.
Are crowd-control barriers and steel barricades the same?
Steel barricade is a common equipment description within crowd-control requests. Use this page to plan the queue or boundary; use the steel page to discuss interlocking connections, feet and the specific equipment configuration.
Can I ask for only 20 barriers?
Yes. Include the quantity or approximate footage with the project location and dates. The inquiry can be reviewed whether it is a short queue or a much longer perimeter; availability and logistics remain project-specific.
Do I need an exact count before requesting pricing?
No. An approximate distance, a marked layout and the intended use are useful starting points. Include any openings and say which details are still uncertain.
