THE APPLICATION / BARRIERRENTALS.CA

Barrier Rentals for Marathons & Sporting Events

Start and finish areas often need a different equipment plan from the course. Organise those requirements separately, then add spectator zones and crossing points from the event layout.

Equipment, delivery and setup availability are confirmed for your location and dates.

01 / PLAN THE APPLICATION

Make the equipment brief specific.

01

Start and finish layouts

Identify the named runs around assembly, start and finish areas, with openings shown on the drawing. Include the footprint available for barrier feet and any other event equipment sharing the space.

02

Course and spectator zones

Mark the sections that actually need barriers rather than using the full course length as the rental quantity. Separate spectator boundaries, turns and controlled crossings according to the organiser’s plan.

03

Equipment changes during the event

If sections are expected to move between the start and finish or other zones, state the timing and responsibility. Do not deduct reused equipment from the request until the relocation arrangement is confirmed.

02 / PLAN THE QUANTITY

Calculate each zone before combining totals.

Measure individual runs, record openings and apply the selected section length. Keep the start, finish and course quantities visible in the schedule. The guide does not determine event capacity, lane widths or a race-management plan.

CALCULATE BARRIERS

Use the actual equipment’s usable length. Keep assumptions and requested spare quantities explicit.

03 / DELIVERY & RENTAL PERIOD

Plan around early starts and restricted streets

Share permitted unloading locations and the time each area becomes inaccessible to vehicles. Include any placement, removal or relocation services requested, plus the site contact for each operating zone.

Include setup and clearance time

List the installation window, event hours and when each zone can be cleared. For multi-day competitions, identify whether layouts remain installed or change between sessions.

BEFORE YOU REQUEST A QUOTE

Project questions.

Should I include the entire race route in the quantity?

Include only the runs specified in the event plan, plus separate start, finish and spectator areas. State which sides of each run require barriers.

Can barriers move from the start to the finish?

Describe the proposed move and schedule for review. Equipment, labour, access and timing must be confirmed before treating it as part of the rental plan.
