THE APPLICATION / BARRIERRENTALS.CA

Barrier Rentals for Parades

Make a long route manageable by breaking it into named sections. Include the approved parade layout, public crossings and delivery restrictions so the rental request reflects how the route will operate.

Equipment, delivery and setup availability are confirmed for your location and dates.

01 / PLAN THE APPLICATION

Make the equipment brief specific.

01

Count each side of the route

Identify which stretches require barriers on one side and which require both. Mark gaps, intersections and public crossing points. Route distance alone can overstate or understate the equipment requirement.

02

Separate staging from the parade line

Marshalling areas, viewing points and dispersal areas may need different layouts from the route itself. Give these locations separate equipment counts and include access for participating vehicles.

03

Respect the approved access plan

Include the crossings and openings established by the organiser or responsible authority. Barrier rental does not approve a road closure or determine emergency access arrangements.

02 / PLAN THE QUANTITY

Use a section schedule alongside the map.

Record each segment’s footage, the number of sides and the selected barrier type. Apply the usable section length and round each separately placed run up, then total the requirements. List openings and spare quantities explicitly.

CALCULATE BARRIERS

Use the actual equipment’s usable length. Keep assumptions and requested spare quantities explicit.

03 / DELIVERY & RENTAL PERIOD

Delivery along a distributed route

Show where trucks can stop, where equipment can be staged and when the route becomes restricted. Specify who places and collects sections along the route and whether multiple delivery points are required.

Work within the closure period

Include time for distribution and removal around the parade. If equipment must be staged earlier or collected later, state the permitted locations and dates in the inquiry.

BEFORE YOU REQUEST A QUOTE

Project questions.

Can I calculate barriers from the parade distance alone?

Not reliably. You also need the sides being barriered, gaps, crossings and any separate staging or viewing areas.

Can a route have several unloading points?

Include the requested stops and access restrictions. Delivery feasibility and the associated scope are confirmed during quoting.
