THE APPLICATION / BARRIERRENTALS.CA

Barrier Rentals for Municipal Projects

Make the operational and procurement requirements clear in the same brief. Whether the project is a public event or phased public works, identify each location, its equipment needs and the documents required for review.

Equipment, delivery and setup availability are confirmed for your location and dates.

01 / PLAN THE APPLICATION

Make the equipment brief specific.

01

Public events and civic spaces

Show event boundaries, queues and routes that must remain available to the public. Include any venue or municipal requirements affecting equipment configuration, supports or installation methods.

02

Public works and temporary access

Separate work-area boundaries, pedestrian diversions and specified traffic barriers. The equipment request should refer to the responsible project team’s layout and technical requirements.

03

Tender and procurement documents

Identify the RFQ or tender number, closing date, submission instructions and required supporting documents. State which documents are mandatory and when they are needed. Do not assume a certification, insurance provision or commercial term is included without confirmation.

02 / PLAN THE QUANTITY

Use a schedule for multiple sites.

List each location, equipment type, quantity or footage, and date range. Keep shared totals traceable to individual sites so changes can be reviewed without confusing overlapping work.

CALCULATE BARRIERS

Use the actual equipment’s usable length. Keep assumptions and requested spare quantities explicit.

03 / DELIVERY & RENTAL PERIOD

Coordinate public access and site delivery

Provide unloading arrangements, restricted hours and the contact responsible for site access. Include setup, relocation and removal needs, with service feasibility confirmed per location.

One project or a recurring programme

Identify whether the request is one-time, seasonal or repeated across several dates. Include the expected rental periods and any procurement milestones before the start date.
