BARRIERRENTALS.CA / QUANTITY PLANNING
Turn a distance into a barrier requirement.
Understand usable section length, round-up quantities and the layout details that affect a barrier estimate.
Distance ÷ usable section length. Then round up.
For example, 3,000 linear feet divided by an assumed 7-foot usable section length gives 428.57 sections: a minimum of 429. Seven feet is an example only; use the verified length of your selected equipment.
Keep the calculated minimum separate.
If you choose to request 430 sections, record that separately from the calculated minimum of 429. Any contingency should be explicit.
Measure the actual runs.
For a perimeter, add the sides that need barriers. A 20-by-20-foot rectangle needs 80 feet for all four sides, or 60 feet for three sides. Note gates and openings separately.
A planning estimate is not a final layout.
Gates, corners, overlap, terrain and actual equipment dimensions can change the final requirement. Complex layouts should be reviewed using a site plan.
